Collection: Cushions

We work with artisan communities around Sri Lanka to produce our collection of handmade cushion covers using various techniques of craft. In the Central Highlands, our Dumbara graphic woven designs are made by individual weavers, using a UNESCO recognized heritage technique. Batik is a wax crafted and hand-dyed process from the South of the island. Our applique cushions, made by women in the central hills,  are carefully assembled from coloured cotton canvas, using a reverse stitch technique. Our natural plain cushions are coloured from plant dyes that lend a pleasing, uneven finish to their hues. The handloom community from the Western Province who weave our throws, also make our intricately patterned cushion covers.
